  1. On a part that has 39040 tris I can get to 30000. It will not take a number higher than that. Is there any numbers in the config I should be looking at? Thanks, James
  2. Thanks Keith I will try it. James
  3. How do you change the number of triangles displayed. When I click on the max #tris it has 5000 in the prompt box. When I change this to the total number listed it doesnt do anything and when I hit the max#tris again it is back at 5000.
  4. I know changing the card fixed my problem. What is the relationship between the graphics card and crashing when I read an IGES file in? Thanks, James
  5. My system had a ATI Radeon 7500 64MBddr video board in it. After I did everything anyone could think of I removed the ATI board and installed an older NVIDIA TNT2 Pro board. All of my problems are gone. I get no error messages and everthing runs fine. Thanks to all for your suggestions! What is the link between the graphics card and reading in IGES files? James
  6. I played around with the acceleration and I still have the problem. It didnt seem to make any difference. Thanks, James
  7. I am running Windows 2000 Pro, a new pc, and the latest version of MasterCam. When I import an IGES file I get the message " Mill8.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows". If I get lucky and it reads the file I will get the same message when I try to save the file. After two days of my Mastercam Dealer and myself trying all kinds of things we still have not fixed the problem. Can someone please help? Thanks, James
