  1. Hey chris,

    ___________________________________________

I think that Daewoo has a pretty good reputation and are less axpensive than the big Japanese machine tool builders.

    --------------------------------------------------

Daewoo lathe or milling machine? how much?

my company looking for a 2 axis lathe, milling 3 axis the affordable one.

now i'm looking at Fadal & Haas are they any good and cheap??

  2. Quote

    ---------------------------------------------

Well I suppose that depends on what you consider affordable.

    ----------------------------------------------

That i dont know, i don't want to ask him that.

Hey John, can i ask you another question about cnc lathe setup method. i notice some company use geometry way (G54), i always use Tool wear offset method (G50).

what is the different between the two?

do i need to change lathe parameter if i apply othermethod(geometry method)?

Hope you understand what i'm saying

  3. Hi everyone,

The new company that I work for thinking of getting more cnc lathe /mill machine,

we manufacturing sink faucet. we currently have a small Miltronic CNC lathe no CNC milling though.

Is there any CNC (lathe, mill) machine that is affordable, durable, with an excellent service & warranty that anyone can recommend? confused.gif

    I’m thinking Hitachi (lathe, mill)!!!!???

Btw, they don’t have cad/cam, so tell them to get MasterCAM. wink.gif

I would like to know how much is the lathe (2 axis [no mill/turn]), Milling 3-4 axis MasterCAM software cost?

    Thanks in advance

  5. Hi everyone,

    1. I need some advice on pocketing on contouring, in which situation should i select the option "KEEP TOOL DOWN"

    2. i'm using 1.000 3flute end mill cut [4.00 X 4.00 with 1.000 height [aluminum material]

how many depth of cut should make?

how much materical should i leave for the wall to finish later with another tool?

    thanks in advance cheers.gif

  6. Hi,

  7. Hello,

My question is about work diameter (G41/G42 D1) compensation, does it matter when you put the G41/42 D1 before (or after) the tool contour the circle. Please look at the Sample #1 and Sample #2 to know what i'm saying. Does it make any different between the 2 sample.

    Sample#1

    N106G43H1Z2.M8

    N108Z.1

    N110G1G41D1Z-.5F6.42 smile.gif <--start toolnose comp.

    N112G3X0.Y2.R2.

    N114X-2.Y0.R2.

    N116X0.Y-2.R2.

    N118X2.Y0.R2.

    N120G0Z1.5

    N122G40M5

    Sample #2

    N108G43H1Z2.M8

    N110Z.1

  8. i have a problem when i toolpath a NPT.

    1. I already use Alt+C to create 1.5-11.5 NPT thread, the geometry on the scene show the helix move taper (1.79)on XY axis.

    2. but when i toolpath the geometry, the toolpath doesnt move taper (1.79)on XY axis, it just cut like a normal thread (UNC or UNF)

    milling. confused.gif

Does any1 understand my question? confused.gif

    Thanks in advance

  9. I need to create a 1.5-11.5 NPT internal thread, I'm not sure if I do it right, i need some help and recommendation.

    Alt+C,Thelix-->

    1. Enter the Radius: .95

(top internal diameter of thread is 1.9O0/2 =.95)?

    !HELP! confused.gif

    2. Enter the starting angle: O

    3. Enter the incremental angle: 5.

(what angle value should enter i need a recommendation)? !HELP! confused.gif

4.Enter the number of revolutions: 4

(how many rev. should i put)? !HELP! confused.gif

    5.Enter the pitch: .08695

    (1/11.5 =.08695)? confused.gif

    6. Enter the taper angle: 1.79

    7.Point entry: Origin

    Toolpath

    Toolpath,Next Menu,Circle toolpath,Thread Mill,

entities, chain (select the helix geometry),Done, done, done

At TOOL PARAMETER where it said " TOOL DIAMETER",

I dont know what dia. should enter. !HELP confused.gif

    I use thread milling insert.

    Thanks in advance

  10. For example

    let's say i create a rectangle

    CREATE,Rectangle,1 point:--->40(width) X 20(height), OK

point entry : X0,YO,Z0 or ORIGIN

    this what i mean

now i would like to shift (move) the origin of X0,Y0,Z0 to this distance X40,Y10,Z0 as a local coordinate system setting. just like milling G52 code.

does any1 understand what wrote? confused.gif

    Thanks in advance

  11. I know we can the Z origin (Alt+0).

But is there anyway that we can move (shift) X,Y cplane origin like in AutoCAD?

    This how we in AutoCAD:

    Command: UCS--->Move

then we just specify the new origin point [Zdepth](0,0,0).

could this be done in MasterCAM V8 ? confused.gif

    Thanks in advance
