  1. Seems pretty powerful, but I Love using MC, only have tomorrow left in training, and yes we are going to use it for toolpaths.
  2. It's a sad day here in Tampa, our company is moving full speed ahead into Pro E, as a matter of fact I'm about half way thru a 40 hr. course on learning how to use the modeler. 40 hrs? Don't get me wrong, I'm always looking to learn something new, but I also feel that if it isn't broke don't fix it, Mastercam had been serving us very well for quite a while! Oh well, at least it looks good on the resume. Have a Great Day All!!
  3. Thanks Dave, I'll get a hold of Jim down here to see if he can help me out with that application. Hey Psycho, I made it work, but I ended up editing the code, which I would really rather not do fo course but we're running the parts now!! It' skind of like a shock absorber for a Submarine fired Tomahawk missle all new parts and all Stainless of course. Thanks Again for the help!!
  4. Thanks Psycho, I tried what you suggested and the backplot looks great, but I must need to modify my post to output the G19 as I get I's and J's instead of J's and K's. My post is based on the In House Mpmaster post modified to suit our machine. Thanks again for your help, it just looks like I need to do a little work on my post. Thanks Again!!
  5. We set out trying to drill and counter bore a hole on one of our vertical mills using a right angle head. The hole is a tap drill for a 1/2-13 tap with and 1 1/4 spotface, this hole is located on the inside of a ring with 17" I.D. and there are four holes of this type located at 90 degrees apart. We originally attemted this with a form tool similar to a porting tool with absolutely no success, the material is a 304 Stainless Forging and the tool "was" carbide. Now that the tool no longer exists, it is going to be necessary to interpolate the hole with a 1/2" end mill, the problem is, where to start? The spot face is 1 1/4" dia. in a 16.960 bore the tool in the right angle head is facing in the "X" minus direction. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks in Advance!!
  6. Thanks everyone, with your help I'm certain I'll be able to put this problem to bed today. Thanks again!!
  7. In the proces of altering the mplfan post for an old Mori SL-4 w/6T control. On this particular machine the sign of X-axis is backwards, I've found a spot in the post to change the sign of the X, but I need to do something to correct the arc output. What have I not done? Thanks So Much in advance for all who reply, any assistance is greatly appreciated. Walt
  8. All that I drew was the outside contour of the part at B90 & B270 with and Island in the middle and a point to make entry. There are four parts arranged vertically 1.89 apart, when I create the pocket toolpath on either side of the part and try and transform it by coordinate to the othe locatiosn I get the error. It's not a big deal as I've worked around it and created the toolpaths necessary, Iwould just like to know what caused it to begin with.
  9. For Some reason as of late I have been unable to access the FTP site and I have not had the time to investigate why.
  10. Good Morning everyone, I'm using Mill V9.2 and trying to transform a pocket cycle by coordinates, but I keep getting the error,"Construction Plane In Operation Does Not Match It's 1017 Line!". I've deleted it, redone it, reset my Tplane & Cplane and redone it with the same results, Any help or insight into this problem of mine would be greatly appreciated! Thanks In Advance!!
  11. Good Morning All, Problem solved, thanks everyone!! Sometimes you tend to overlook the obvious. Thanks Again, have a Great Day!!
  12. How in a Mill Post would I go about moving an Operation's comment after the tool call up. As in the example below. I have been using the In-House MPMASTER as my base Post Processor. I'm sure that it probably isn't too awfully difficult and I've tried several things myself, but thought it easier to ask the Pro's. Thanks Very much in advance for all who reply, as always your assistance is greatly appreciated!! Oh Yeah, Using Mill 9.1, SP2. Thanks (present output) G00 G17 G20 G40 G80 G90 (MILL FACE OF MATERIAL TO CLEAN) T1 (2" SANDVIK FACE MILL) G40 G80 G17 M06 (desired output) G00 G17 G20 G40 G80 G90 T1 (2" SANDVIK FACE MILL) (MILL FACE OF MATERIAL TO CLEAN) G40 G80 G17 M06
  13. I probably should have said that I tried changing the "E" in the "String and string selector definitions for NC output" section of the Post (MPLFAN) and it has "fixed it" I'm just not certain that it is the correct way of solving this. Thanks! Sorry, I should have added that I am using V9.1 SP2.
  14. Good Morning All, Workning on a post for a new lathe with a Fanuc OI-TC and I need to change the feed in the the threading cycle from an "E" to an "F" unless the machine will accept an "E" (not hooked up yet)it doesn't appear that it will. I'm sure that it's simple and obvious, I just can't see it this morning. Don't worry this won't be the last request, we are just now starting to use Masercam to program our lathes and the posts are non-existant. Any help is greatly appreciated!! Thanks in Advance!!
