  1. Has anyone figured this out yet? We have this problem with 3 different PC's. All have different graphics cards, but all are Nvidia cards. 1 of the PC's is 64 bit, the others are 32 bit.

This was not a problem until X2 was installed. X1 MR2 did not do this.

  2. When starting up X2, an error report pops up about reading toolbar definitions. I'm not sure if this has been covered yet or not. I can close out the error dialog box and go on OK. But what is out of whack to cause it to pop up on startup??

    Error (L692;C:mcamx2configmastercam.mtb);SPECIFIED command not found.

    Error L693 " "

    Error L694 " "

    Error L695 " "

    finished reading toolbar definitions...

I'm running XP Pro x64. Didn't have any problems like this with X or mr2.

    Thanks

  3. In using the new toolpath for Area Clearance, in the parameters for transition, there are 2 choices for feed rates. You can choose plunge or feed rate for either ramping in or helixing into the part. My problem is the default is plunge. When I change this setting to feed rate, I can hit the apply button and the green check to get out of the parameters. When I go back into the parameters, it is still set at plunge.

It appears it has the settings for a choice, but will only let you use the plunge choice. My work around for this was to change my plunge rate to a rate close to my feed rate.

Just wondering if others were seeing this happen??

  4. Yesterday I ran a surface rough pocket operation followed with a restmill op. In the middle of the restmill program there was "F0." that showed up as a plunge rate. It only happened once within the program. Its happened once or twice before since we've been using X and this is the 1st time since MR1.

I sent it to my var. Glad it didn't happen on a program that ran lights out.

  5. I tried it in MR1 with an igs file. All surfaces disappeared when I tried to make solid from surfaces.

On SP1, I created the solid model I used to make this tool with the same igs model I tried today. That was 6 weeks or so ago.

So I guess there is a problem.

  6. Bullines,

I tried running the script above, but get the following error message:

    Microsoft VBScript compilation error

    Expected end of statement

    IActiveScriptSite:;OnScriptError()

    Line: Set objLine=Nothing Set objPoint=Nothing

What did I do wrong? Did I get something copied wrong? I ran it on a file that had a bunch of entitities that I could separate a chain from the wireframe.

    Running X MR1

    Thanks

  7. We experienced this on occaision when we ran V9, we're on X now.

We had the problem mainly running surface contour toolpaths. Try running the chook tpcfg (toolpath config) and uncheck the fzt option. This may take a bit longer to process the toolpath, but should eliminate the memory errors.

This may work only if you're programming surface toolpaths. Just remember to switch it back when done, because it is faster and more efficient on most jobs to have fzt turned on. Unless you get the errors.

    hope it helps

  8. Thad,

It ran fine on my machine. I did a single surface as well as several. My model was all surfaces, no solid present, although I have the solids addon in my MasterCam Level 3 MR1.

All in all this chook is a cool tool.
