  1. I downloaded 2-3 weeks ago and last Thursday I got the documentation and cd's in the mail from my VAR. Good to go now. lynnz
  2. mross, tried all of your suggestions. Nothing changed. I'm using a Nvidia Quadro FX-3400 card. spec, I'm not sure I understand what/where groups you are referring to. lynnz
  3. Has anyone figured this out yet? We have this problem with 3 different PC's. All have different graphics cards, but all are Nvidia cards. 1 of the PC's is 64 bit, the others are 32 bit. This was not a problem until X2 was installed. X1 MR2 did not do this. lynnz
  4. I agree with Greg. Lots of yellow dust. A vacuum is a must. lynnz
  5. Problem solved. I hadn't moved the X+ chook over yet. Did that and error is gone. Thanks again. lynnz
  6. Thanks for the help. I'll give that a try. I forgot to say, but I did a side by side install of X2 along MR2. lynnz
  7. When starting up X2, an error report pops up about reading toolbar definitions. I'm not sure if this has been covered yet or not. I can close out the error dialog box and go on OK. But what is out of whack to cause it to pop up on startup?? Error (L692;C:mcamx2configmastercam.mtb);SPECIFIED command not found. Error L693 " " Error L694 " " Error L695 " " finished reading toolbar definitions... I'm running XP Pro x64. Didn't have any problems like this with X or mr2. Thanks lynnz
  8. If you have Solidworks and have upgraded to 2007, it installed Net 2.0 before it would let you install the Solidworks. So anyone that has SW 2007 shouldn't have to worry about installing Net 2.0 for Mastercam X2. lynnz
  9. Never used powermill, but we've used Mastercam since 1995 with good results. About 90% of our work is 3D surfacing type work producing foundry patterns and coreboxes. Mastercam carries the mail for us. lynnz
  10. We have gotten that error also. But it only happens when we hit the plus button when the operations parameters are completed. If I hit the check mark instead of the plus button, no error message comes up. lynnz
  11. total tolerance in filtering has a big effect on your finish in most all surfacing toolpaths. The ratio should be set to 2:1 and on a finish pass, I have good luck with total tolerance set to .001" or smaller. lynnz
  12. No crashes here for a long time. Actually can't remember last time. Doing 3D moldwork 90% of the time including the new highspeed toolpaths. lynnz
  13. "mine changed to a green color after last update." Maybe you installed the environmentally friendly version of X?? lynnz
  14. Its been a great success since startup 6 yrs ago. Many thanks to people behind Emastercam as well as all the contributors to the forums!! lynnz
  15. Good luck with the new venture, Bullines. We sure have appreciated all the help you've dished out over the years. Big thanks. lynnz
