  1. Hello, I draw form tools on mastercam that I save as DWG files so I can email them to my tool grinder. I need the DWG files to be in autocad 2000. In Mastercam X4, I would click file then "save as " then in the open window there is a "options" button that allowed me to to select a what autocad version to save my file as. In X5 the options button is grayed out and cannot change the autocad version level. Is there somthing in the config that will allow me to access the option button? Thank you Steve Vevia
  2. Thanks for the help guys. As I play with it a little more, I have determined that the radius on the tip is screwing it up. I find that if I change to no tip rad it will run in verify. If I change it to a full tip rad it will not run in regular verify but will display the end result in turbo, but that looks like I used a chisel to and hammer to cut my cavity. I have also experienced a similar problem with a 1mm ball mill in a 2d contour ramp toolpath. I am thinking a graphics issue or a bug in mcam. Any have any thoughts on this? Thank you Steve
  3. Hi, I created a 5 deg taper mill tool and it will not display or do anything when I try and verify my toolpath. The tool displays fine in backplot but not verify. I am running x4 mu3. Thank you Steve
  4. I am running X2 mill level 3. When I create a tool and save it to a library everything appears to work fine, but when I want to use the tool it is not in the library. I have checked the save and retrieve paths several times and they are the same. I did not have this problem until I loaded X2. I would appreciate any input on this. Another issue I am having is with Xform Drag. When I drag a piece of geometry over a point the auto cursor shows I have the point but the geometry is placed where the cursor is not the point. Is anyone else having this problem? Thanks Steve
  5. Hi, I need to create sequential cavity numbers in a cut in plate mold. I can do it one at a time, but this take more time than I want it too. Does Mastercam X have a chook or anything where I can serialize the cavity numbers quickly? Thanks Steve
  6. Hi, I am new to the board and this is my first post. I am running mcamx MR2 level 3. When I start a new file and go to machine group properties to set the toolpath name, I get an error of toolpath not found. I have 2 seperate computers with MR2 and both have this problem. I saved the file and opened it on a computer with MR1 on it to see if I could put a toolpath name in, I could not. I did not give me the error, it would only accept the .NC. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Steve Ft. Wayne Mold and Engineering
