  1. "try the solid works guys" I went to the site but wasnt able to find any quick guides on mastercam and solidworks. Im really new to this, but very eager to learn how to do this.
  2. I believe we have a postprocessor downstairs on the CNC dedicated computer. Although I am really new to mastercam, I have successfully used featurecam software in the past. I just have never imported solidworks parts into a cam software program and really want to learn how to utilize the two programs. I have alot more questions to ask, but before I do, are there any other listings or websites with a basic how-to on this? Thanks again
  3. Thanks for the heads up guys. I have now opened up the file as a solidworks part. Will mastercam autimatically snap to the pockets created in solidworks? Also, when selecting a machine type, which CNC mill should I choose? I know ours is a vertical 3 axis but I do not know wat mm.mmd stands for. Thanks again.
  4. Can anyone give advice on using mastercam to generate tool paths and NC for a solidworks designed part? I have V10 and am able to import the part as a .igs but am new to the mastercam software. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.
