  1. hey hardmill...i forwarded you a .mcx, thats the version im having difficulty in. V9 is what I'm currently using and am having no issues with that
  2. thats real unfortunate to take a step back from 9....multisurfacing is 80% of my work....i dont have time to check surfaces for each operation
  3. thx but i do have that checked....still does nothing to help. I can forward a real basic .mcx with the operation in it to see if there is anything I'm missing if someone is willing to take a look at it.
  4. hello all, this is the first time i have posted on this board, I'm going on 10yrs w/ MC and trying to make the jump from 9 to x2. I'm looking for some knowledgable answers to an issue i'm having. I couldn't find one thru the search feature. i use multisurfs alot and x2 seems to write them differently than 9. ie. multisurf/parallel - unless i have a checked surface or edge curve to contain the tool, it will plunge the tool outside the boundaries of the drive surfaces. No matter what parameter I check or uncheck, it's always the same result. I don't have to do this w/ 9 and i know there has to be a way around involving myself w/ extra work selecting checked surfaces. (if i remember correctly, i may have had this problem in 9, to fix it i checked "Only between surfaces" box in the Advanced settings box in the Finish Parallel Parameters tab) Any tips? suggestions? thx in advance for any help
  5. Hello all...I've been cruising the forum/faq for a couple days now in hopes to learn a thing or two or three and apparently there's no better place to learn. Im endeavoring to gain some proficiency with MC X, currently I use and favor v9 however X appeals to me due to the new cad system. I hit a snag and was looking for an answer. I understand multiple entities can be treated as a "Group" and according to the MCX Help, these seperate Groups can be used to streamline entity selection (ie...selecting one point in a group as opposed to each individual point for a drilling cycle). In my attempt to do this, it created the toolpath operation however it locks up and I have needed to restart X and go again. I was just curious as to what I am doing wrong. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Thx in advance.
