Why can't I drag shaded surfaces, or solids? I get an error can not drag surfaces!! Does any one know where I can get a component library, clamps fasteners and such for part setup??

I have a question for you wire guys. I'm running Mastercam X2 MR2, and a 1994 Mitsubishi DWC90HA wire EDM. The problem is when I import my geometry, (from Pro-E) it creates splines instead of arcs. The wire will actually create facets instead of an arc. The wire will not allow me to run a filter in mastercam, to clean it up. I can create arcs where the splines are, but you shouldn't have to do this. Has anybody run into this problem. is it mastercam, the wire, operator?

Lars, I did what you said and it did give a #2 by the paramater folder. but if I go in tool manager, planes, it still is not checked and have a #2. also when I post it it still gives me a g54 instead of a g56. thanks!! Hello every 1, If you go under tool path parameters, planes.., tool path coordinate system, work offset. the number is -1. I would like it to default to 2, if possible. is there anyway this can be done. Tired of changing this. I am using X3Mu1.

Hello every 1 I'm trying to program a part in mastercam wire X3 MU1. I'm new at this wire game. I am using the autosync rail and will be using a 4 axis tool path. problems that occur, 1: chains after auto sync are not fully closed, even after many attempts at tolerances. must trim to close chain!! 2: after creating wire path, the wire wants to buckle and wipe out the centers at some of the corners. (in the z height) can someone please tell me where I am failing! Think of the part as the letter U that's thick with draft. Thanks

Open GL G-Force. I just changed the hard drive and had to reload mastercam, so I'm thinking it must be a setting?? because it never did this before.

Is there any way to take a simple picture Bring it into mastercam and convert it into a wire frame then machine it, without having mastercam art? or any other expensive software. Thank you!!
