sorry, i posted earlier in the wrong section Im using design9 and have been having issues with saving. I have been building a complex 3D part and when I save it, everything works fine. When I try to open it, parts are missing. usually i can work the geometry to generate a shape the mirror it to get the other side you don't want to have to generate every surface manually so if the object is simetrical you can mirror things or rotate them now when i restart the program it does see the surface as a duplicate and doesn't eliminate it it says during start up that such and such number of duplicate surfaces are being deleted.
