  1. We are currently looking at doing a production job for our horizontal mill. It has a 630MM pallets. The part we will be machining is 2X2X9, and gets cut on all 6 sides. We want to get as many parts as we can on a tombstone. Can someone point me to some good and accurate work holding systems.

    Thanks,

  2. Our company is thinking about purchasing one of these machines with 4th axis, thread cutting, ETC... capabilities. Does anyone have suggestions for a particular brand. We want the best bang for the buck.

    Thanks,

    Then what are you doing here, just get one of your fellow Mastercam co-worker experts to help you since your not smart enough to do it yourself.

    –noun

    1. the act of maintaining.

    2. the state of being maintained:

    3. care or upkeep, as of machinery or property:

    4. means of upkeep, support, or subsistence;

    5. alimony or child support.

    6. Law. an officious meddling in a suit in which the meddler has no interest, by assisting either party with means to prosecute or defend it.

    –adjective

    I agree with ToolMan when you pay $***** for a

    CD and have to pay a yearly "maintenance", it should be 100% working, and if not they should fix it. They developed the software they know what it takes to fix the problem, not make new stuff. As far as apples and oranges, when you buy a new car and the A/C doesn't work, when the service dept tells you "Learn it, live it and get over it", I'll be buying another car from someone else.

  9. I'm taking climb cuts one-way roughing passes using a rotary toolpath in MC9.1. When it get's done making a pass it wants to rotate and rapid back to the starting position for the next cut at the same time. I want it to rapid away from the part, rotate B-Axis, and then rapid to the next cut like in the ex. below. Is there a way to do this in the post?

    Code Now:

    G93X12.6353Z12.7045B-60.153F163.72

    I found this in the post, what do I need to change if it's the right spot?

    ppos_cax_lin #Position the rotary axis before move - rapid

    if index, pindex

    else,

    [

    if fmtrnd(prv_cabs) <> fmtrnd(cabs) & rot_on_x,

    sav_gcode = gcode

    gcode = zero

    pbld, n, sgcode, pcout, e

    !cia

    ps_cinc_calc

    gcode = sav_gcode

    ]
