CNC Apps Guy this works on our 4 offset column machine, but it doesnt on our 1 offset column machine. Same controller.. 16i-MB
It says improper G-Code.
Does it make a difference because it's not 4 column?
I'm cutting a slot with a 4MM coated flat EM, and breaking them. Can someone recommend something to cut a deep slot with an extended length EM. Material is 4140 Prehard.
Is there a way to use a drill cycle without turning on the spindle? I want to keep the X,Y, and Z moves just no spindle.Tried RPM at 0 and no rpm at all. Still comes on at start of drill cycle.

We are currently looking at doing a production job for our horizontal mill. It has a 630MM pallets. The part we will be machining is 2X2X9, and gets cut on all 6 sides. We want to get as many parts as we can on a tombstone. Can someone point me to some good and accurate work holding systems.

Our company is thinking about purchasing one of these machines with 4th axis, thread cutting, ETC... capabilities. Does anyone have suggestions for a particular brand. We want the best bang for the buck.

I agree with ToolMan when you pay $***** for a
CD and have to pay a yearly "maintenance", it should be 100% working, and if not they should fix it. They developed the software they know what it takes to fix the problem, not make new stuff. As far as apples and oranges, when you buy a new car and the A/C doesn't work, when the service dept tells you "Learn it, live it and get over it", I'll be buying another car from someone else.

1.How many computers run Windows OS..Just about all of them. Including Vista.
2.Does Mastercam support other OS's -- NO
3.Maybe they should be tryin to get MC to run on Vista first instead of working on X3
