  1. Thank You in advance, John

  4. Hi Everyone, I am machining a 1.7" Dia. pocket @1.4" DP.,The pocket has a .625" Dia. post in the middle of the pocket standing .05" high. Two questions;I want to lead in for a finish pass by using an arc that is 50% smaller then the lead in line,But I get a error when posting saying cutter comp.on arc error,I can remove the arc move but my finish ends up with a tool mark in the wall,I just want to blend the tool path,I am using the true spirial with a helix entry and I am using the finish option. Second question is with the .625 dia post I end up plunging for the final .05" to finish my depth since I can not have an helix entry,Any suggestions on this would be helpful. Thank You, John
  5. Thank you for the reply,No I did not ,Thats is the problem.Thank you so much. John
  6. Thank You, By turning of Trochoidal the cutter is taking a full cut (slot). If I could e-mail my geometry and toolpath to some one to look at it would really help. John
  7. Hi All, I have read many topics on high speed machining,But I still not sure if I should be using it or not.I have a aluminum block that has to have a rectangular pocket machined 3.5 deep .What advantage would I have verse using zig zag toolpath?I saw a video on SurfC#@#@ using something simular.I am just not sure on how to set it up and if I should be using it.HELP Thank you , John John

  9. Hi all, How would you use the WCS on two different parts in two different vises. Not knowing where the second vise/part is located from the firstpart/vise.I would like to use g55,g56 But I am not sure how to set wcs for the second vise/part and be able to have it any where on the table and still post good code.I tried creating two parts and toolpaths, but I get a "X"DIM. and a "Y"DIM from the first part/vise in my code.Iam confused,And you probaly will be after reading this.
