  1. The solid models we get can have the hole specified at a 6 or 7 place decimal. The last decimal would specify if it is a reamed hole, tapped hole, clearance hole ect. That way in solid drilling it would recognize what it was and make it easier on the operator to know if it is something critial or clearance. Example a .3125 holes can either be reamed or tap drill for a 3/8-16.
  2. Hi, Is there a way for my tool library to display 5 or 6 place decimals on drill dia's? I can create a new tool with 6 place decimals but it rounds it off to 4 place when it is displayed in the list.
  3. I guess what I'm looking for is that our engineers would be sending out parasolid files for our jobs. They are looking for something somewhat automated. An example would be seeing a .4218 hole and have the software know it needs to centerdrill, drill, chamfer and tap this hole, or see a counterbored hole and do it completely, (drill, chamfer, & c-bore).
  4. Has anybody played around with the solid drilling in mastercam 9. We had a demo of it when it was in the beta version and it looked very good. Would like to hear opinions before we upgrade.
