  1. I am machining a 2m frame which has pockets with tilted walls. I've machined these pockets with swarf 5 axis, but the customer does not want cutter ramps. I've altered the finishing to use a ballnose, which will reach into the pocket to scan the rad on. My problem is that at the end of the frame, there is a high 'L' shaped wall along 2 sides of the last pocket - too high for my tool to each the base. To scan on this rad, I want to pivot the tool from a point, and scan the rad around, keeping the holder away from the wall. I've tried lots of combinations of parameters for compensating the tool off the surface, but from my backplot, the tool keeps diving into the wall, or gouging the base. Anyone got any helpful hints how to keep the tool from hitting the walls? Thanks in advance!
  2. Thanks for the replies guys! Nice to hear that it's possible to run V9 on XP64. I'll just have to fiddle with it a little more! Michael
  3. Hi! I'm using X2 on my brand new 64 bit machine (bought specially to run vericut), but when I have to make changes to old programs done on MC9, I have to go to an old PC, which is a real hassle. Is there a solution to using the USB hasp on an XP64 machine? All help gratefully accepted! Michael
