  1. Mastercam Tattoos, T-Shirts, Eating, Breathing, Sleeping and Crapping CAD/CAM.

LOL, how many of you take your Lap Tops to the Mall while your significant other goes shopping for clothes while you sit in your truck with the inverter CAD/CAM'ing for 4 to 6 Hours???

LOL, I do this a lot. I have even insisted on bringing the Lap Top to Holiday Parties to keep from being bored. biggrin.gif

    Got to love CAD/CAM!!!!!! wink.gif

Some of us are willing to eat, sleep, and breathe this stuff to get to where we are. [big Grin]

LOL You know as well as I do that this largely depends on the area you live in and the Demand for Dedicated Employees that actually know what they are doing.

This is a very informative and constructive thread guys. biggrin.gif

  3. I see a lot of Dell Lap Tops getting very good times. I am also thinking that the recent purchase I made should have been the M6400 and not the M4400

Oh well, I can't run the Bench Test anyway frown.gif

  4. A few days ago someone sent me an email asking for my opinion about a different solid modeling software and didn't give a return email address.

    My reply, I like it!!!

BTW: What's with the YOUR AD HERE! Column????

I wonder if I should place an add biggrin.gif

Have a good day gents. smile.gif

  5. I keep my Precision Offline and use the Inspiron to go online. It isn't worth risking a Virus, Trojan, or worms. It boots in 15 seconds flat and runs great. Though I had to update my Alibre V11.1 to V11.2 manually it is still worth keeping it clean.

LOL if I had a dollar every time Quicktime, WindowsMedia Player, and all those other junk ware updates popped up during an assembly there would be more money in the bank to buy MC biggrin.gif

Until then I have to use BobScrap/Crap mad.gif

Wanna see a full pair of huggies?

Forget to put that G94 after G80

Forget Huggies, the guys I work around where Depends. They hate when I engage in serious HSM and lose bowel control when the spindle gets within a few thousands of the 4th Axis. Guess they never worked on a Lathe or Mill/Turn biggrin.gif

I prefer Thread Milling over Tapping anything. Thread Mills that break in the bore (never seen that before) are pretty easy to remove. Taps that break have to be removed using crafty methods. One off hand EDM HeatSink.

Has anyone here seen or heard of thread milling 0-80's ??

  7. I am not sure if I am posting this in the correct area but here is goes anyway.

I was roaming around the Forum/Site and have a question.

What is the purpose of the Educational Archive in the post processor area of this site? Is this for Online Training or Specific Example Based Support?

    What is it?? confused.gif

  8. Eventually I will be buying PVCNC V8 with the Machine Building and Full Machine Simulation.

These STL machines are already in V7 but they wont simulate.

STL Fixtures and Stock work great though.

I think they want a hefty sum of cash. bonk.gif

  9. The original release of the V2007 BobScrap/Crap Predator EATS G-CODE biggrin.gif I think it will even read full 5 axis.

You can also use their Editor to Verify Solid Simulations too. You just have to create a header at the beginning of the NC program for tools, material, stl fixture, clamps etc.

This is why I did not request a refund from BobScrap/Crap, because of the Predator Functionality.

Then again if I lose the Dongle I am SOL, because these features won't work without it. LOL Dongle stays HOME biggrin.gif

If I could squeeze more money out of my boss it would be for a real verification package.

Predator Virtual CNC is nice. I have a Licensed V7 through BobScrap/Crap V22 aka V2007. I added the additional functions of STL Fixtures, Custom Tool Editing, and G-Code Editing.

It looks very DOS but performs very well.

What is shocking is that Predator supplied BobScrap/Crap with a Great Verification Software. confused.gif

Wow, coming up on four months, and I'm still holding the title with a $1500 box...

Matt Berube, go overclock your i7 so we can move on!

LOL, your not going to depend your Title??? Come-On!!! wink.gif

Go for a better time. Stick the Box outside in the Cool Air or an Arctic Blast. That might reduce your times by at least 10%.

    Build another Box biggrin.gif
