  1. I have mill level 3 and it is 2d pocketing.
  2. I just got done loading up and installing mastercam X2 for my father in law and everything seems fine but when you go to generate a pocket toolpath the only options that come up under the roughing section is Zigzag and oneway. Missing spiral, true spiral morph spiral etc.... Anybody have a solution to this problem?
  3. What is the best way to make a toolpath for chamfering profiles in matercam x?
  4. just loaded my mastercam into my new laptop and when i click on it to start it says, missing mcbitmap.ocx and mclistctl.ocx .mastercam cannot start. What does that mean and how can i fix it?
  5. how do you get rid of those annoying "N" numbers at the beginning of each line in your program
  6. i need to mill out a 3.5" slot a 1.5" wide with a 28 degree from top to bottom and i can't figure out how to draw this in mastercam, is it even possible? i have a haas vf-2 and use mastercam x
  7. yes i bought the book through the forum
  8. I just purchased the mastercam handbook volume 2. it should be here in a couple weeks, could anyone tell me if this book is good or not, it deals with surface toolpaths and 3d modeling and whatnot,
  9. i got the bottom of the program to do what i want, but i just can't seem to get the g54 in there, maybe i'm doing it wrong,
  10. no it is set to one, should it be set to 2?
  11. this is what it says for the g54 pwcs #G54+ coordinate setting at toolchange if mi1$ > one, [ sav_frc_wcs = force_wcs if sub_level$, force_wcs = zero if workofs$ <> prv_workofs$ | (force_wcs & toolchng), [ if workofs$ < 6, [ g_wcs = workofs$ + 54 ] else, [ g_wcs = workofs$ + 104 ] if workofs$ >= 0 & workofs$ <= 25, *g_wcs else, "ERROR - Invalid Work Coordinate System", e$ ] force_wcs = sav_frc_wcs !workofs$ ] this right?
  12. It gives me this at the beginning- / G91 G28 Z0. / G28 X0. Y0. / G92 X10. Y10. Z10. don't need it, and the way i want it at the end is this- G00G49Z.25 G00G91G28Z0.0 G00G90G53X-12.0Y0.0A0.0 M30 % by the way thank you for the welcome to the forum
  13. i have mastercam x and a brand new vf-2, the post doesn't put in a g54 code, actually it did it once(very strange), and it has some extra things in there i don't need, also at the end of the program i would like it to return to the middle of the table, i write it in now but its a time waster, and in the beginning of the program it gives me some things i don't need
  14. does anybody know where i could find some literature on how to customize my post processor for my haas vf-2?
