just to make this a little more clear i want to work with mills and wire edms first before i start on the lathe posts

i am a student at ferris state university in michigan i was looking at posts and i would really like to get into modifying them and making my own, does anyone have any usefull information for me to read up on or some good examples of a post that they personally created
