  1. Well, I couldn't figure out how to change just the tool plane, so I wrote out a 3 axis path, trimmed it and manually modified the G54 to take into account the head angle (relative to center of ball of course). I had to trim out areas where it would gouge and write new toolpaths at a different angle to remachine those areas. I'm probably making it more difficult for myself, but it's working...
  2. Thanks Millman, but how can I rotate only the tool so my cut and retract movements are still in the WCS? Do I need to be working in 5axis toolpaths? It seems like this is only for finishing. I have a part I need to rough and finish at a fixed head angle. It's the only way I can reach the sides.
  3. I just started using MC9.1 after using Delcam at a previous employer. I can't figure out how to write a 3+2 toolpath with a fixed head angle (say 30deg) but still use the Top construction plane (so the z-cuts and containment boundaries are parallel to the Top view and the part). I figured out how to create a new toolplane, but the toolpath won't write as the "Tplane and Cplane are not equal." What am I missing? Help! Thanks, Mark
