Please pardon the newbie nature of this thread. I am modeling my company's new shop in V9. The shop is 35k sq. ft, with 20 plus cnc mills, so I have lots of solids. I have modeled a work bench at each machine, represented by a 2.5' x 5' block. To clean things up, and the answer to this will help me with lots of other issues, I would like to modify the block to approximate a bench with legs. I believe I need to project a rectangle onto 2 faces, then use the Extrusion Operation "Cut Body" function in Solids mgr. I have programmed parts some years ago in a previous version using solids and feel like a knucklehead because I can't remember how to do this. I have read through threads referring to use of the WCS; is this my solution? Thanks Ken
