Why are the cuts diagnol, instead of vertical or horizontal. Also do you need to change something in X4 to respond the same way as X3?

I am running Mastercam X, with mill level 3

Has anyone had any problems when changing any info in the lead in and lead out designated fields, the post will increase the "Z" retract from the standard 1.0 to in my case a "Z" of 60.00. This seems to be only a problem when I am doing a remachining function on a simple 2D contour routine. If so please help!!
