I've used Fraisa .5mm balls in 45-48 Rc with a 40000 spindle .001 ADOC .002 RDOC @ 32 IPM, but 55-60 Rc is a total different ball game,
Good Luck

If you change from absolute to incremental from one op to the next, all 3 axis will rapid at the same time, possibly causing a crash.
I only suggested this because he might not have noticed if his z axis actually did this or not.

You might want to look at your operations also and check to see if you change from absolute to incremental.

Okay Thanks guys.
Jeff, yes I would appreciate it if you send it Monday.

We have a VF3 with Thru Spindle Coolant and the spindle stops before the coolant comes on and then restarts.
Is there a way to make the spindle not stop when the coolant thru comes on??
Thanks

Send it to me.

Doug,
Also try re-starting after changing the parameters.
I remember when I was hooking it up to the network I had to re-start numerous times to make changes take effect.

We use ours mainly for prototype plastic parts. Sometimes when a customer wants a plastic mold, they also want a handful of parts before the mold is built to make sure the parts work.

We use these from Eagle Rock. It works great

Yes it can be done. We had a Haas tech in here last week to work on our VF-3 and while he was here I asked him to turn the spindle up on our TM-1. It now runs 6000rpm
I wasn't out in the shop watching, so I can not tell you how to do it, sorry

It selects outside the window no matter if you have In, Out, In+ or Out+ selected.....(on mine anyway)

I was changing the sort options when it happened. I hit escape several times and it cleared everything out, but when I tried to do another op is when it showed the error. I saved and closed out and everything is fine now.
Thanks

This is a new error to me. Just when you think you've seen em all...lol
It happened after a spotdrill op and I tried to start another drill op and keep getting this error and it won't let me do anything else. I've hit escape several times to exit whatever function it thinks its in, but that does not work.

(if my math is correct). RS-232 cabling from PC to machine should not exceed 300 ft.
----------------------------------------------
Actually the length of cable changes with baud rate. It should be no more than 100 ft @ 9600 baud rate decreasing in length as baud rate increases.
Anyway, the gubment should have the coin to go wireless....if not, do ethernet.

It has to be a machine thing because I use it alot on a different type machine with no gouges.

Does your machine have a graphics screen? If so, I would plot it out at the machine and it will show any weird moves.
I had a similar problem. It put a G18 in the middle of the program (verify didn't show it) and ruined a tool, toolholder and a $8,000 insert. I contacted my reseller about it and he could'nt figure it out. I reposted it and everything was okay.
It's impossible to look over 16Mb of text, but the machine backplot showed it, I just didn't look closely enough before I ran it. I shoulda zoomed out a little...
