  1. I use this editor all the time because it is the best editor for post processor modification. My question is: does anyone know where could I get the auto-completion file (ACP) and cliptext file (CTL) for Mastercam postprocessor language. This files enable the syntax highlighting, Auto-completion and cliptext. I already have the STX (syntax highlighting) file but if anyone would be kind enough to tell me where could I get ACP and/or CTL file I would greatly appreciate. Thanks!
  2. I have problems with DoMetaFile function in VBS. Every time I use it I get black background in WMF image. Because the function changes the color of all entities to black I get a totally black WMF image. As I know the background in the image should be white. The same happens when I use the Metafile.dll Chook or InHouse Html setup sheet. My openGL switch in Screen/configure/screen tab is disabled. There must be something wrong with my graphic card driver configuration. Does anyone know what the problem could be. My graphic card is Nvidia TI4800 and I'm running the latest driver. Thanks for the answers!
  3. Of course, I've gone through this Power Point about 100 times, but there is no answer on how to make gen5ax working in such way that It would be possible to clamp a part outside of the table center.
  4. I have a problem with configuring MPGEN_5x post. The machine is Mikron UCP 710 with TNC 426 control (It does't support CYCLE19). The machine looks like this: My main problem is that the post doesn't calculate shifts when the part is rotating around primary ©axis. When it is rotating only around secondary (A) axis, the shifts are OK. for instance I would like to put the part zero away from table center. To calculate the necessary shifts I use the parameters: saxisx : 0 #The axis offset direction? saxisy : 0 #The axis offset direction? saxisz : 0 #The axis offset direction? r_intersect : 0 #Rotary axis intersect on their center of rotations Where the saxisx, saxisy and saxisz represent the posititon of tha part zero according to the table center. The primari and secondary axis definitions are like this: rotaxis1 = -vecy #Zero rotdir1 = vecx #Direction rotaxis2 = vecz #Zero rotdir2 = -vecy #Direction So, am I doing something wrong ? All I want to do is that post would calculate shifts in the linear axis acoording to the rotation of both rotating axis (part zero is NOT in the tble center). Thanks for the answers.
  5. Have you tried to fix the problem using default operations. If yo do a contour toolpath, you choose contour parameters and import your tool (the same as you would program the toolpath). You must also be sure that preferable tool is selected. After this just save the changes. When you program new operation, you show the chain, afer that the tool parameter tab is opened. You will notice that there is no tool, but the tool parameters are the same as the ones of your preferable tool. Hit OK and toolpath is being calculated with your tool's parmeters being used - no need for tool selection.
  6. I also found out that there is no waterfall effect if the model for STL creation is a genuine Mastercam solid model. On a big cast surface models that solution gets out of the question (models are imported IGES files, sometime imported Pro-E part files).
  7. But problem is that I dont start with block but with cast model (such as Rekd I also do mostly 4 axis tombstone), so I need a perfect import at a very begining.
  8. I have a problem verifying STL file as stock. Everytime I make an STL model from surface model and then import it in verifier, the model is not complete. I also get a message that a LW found that an STL model was not water tight and that an aproksimation is going to be used. All concave parts of a model are filled so that I can not verify toolpths in those parts. Does any of you have any answers?
  9. I have a question about 5axis turbo (no tool) verify abilities. I would like to know where it can be downloaded to try it on my Mastercam. I don't want to bother my dealer for this. He is in the other coutry, so forget it.
  10. I also have ATI graphic card (Ati radeon 9500 pro). In the beginning I had same problems as LastCat is writing about. So I changed the driver from original Catalyst drivers to Omega 3.6 driver (http://www.omegacorner.com/) and it works great. I must say that this version of driver is rather old (current version is 4.2), but it is the only version of drivers I could find on the internet that worked OK with Mastercam - none of the later released driver doesn't work. So it is not the problem in the graphic card, the drivers are the problem. My advice is to try this version of drivers before persuasing the boss for a new graphic card. I'm not sure where can you find the Omega 3.6 driver at this time, I would first try at Driverhaeven (http://www.driverheaven.net/downloads/index4.htm) - download the rad_w2kxp_omega_2474a file. I'm expecting some replies on this solution.
  11. I'm quite new in C-hook writing, so I would like to find out what is the function that brings up current Gview or Cplane and copies it to 3 by 3 matrix. Please Help!!!
  12. I'm beggining with Chook developing, so I would like to know if there is any other resource to learn besides Chook Dev Kit?
