I am using a AMERA SEIKI TC-1L post, where are the settings for the spindle? In the parameters I have feeds and speed defalts set per tool. As this is not a big deal at all, I have just been editing the prog. but if I can fix it that would be nice.

X2 MR2 Lathe

I am fairly new to mc, my question is after I post the program on the editor screen I get a G99 on the first opp. and a G99 on the last opp. Also there is no M3 in other misc. opps. Is this a post issue or is there a setting that needs changed. Thanks

We do some crazy undercuts and face profiles, out of the box cant produce.

I have taken classes and it was all out of box tooling in the class. That is what I am use too, but this is a new job and they use custom tooling. Dont think I need a class when someone like you could answer my question. Yes or No can you custom draw your tools on X lathe?

Hey guys, I am using XLathe, and while on the subject I use kennamet tool library the most and use a lot of custom ground c2 tools in the machine. Is there a way on lathe to draw up my own tools insted of modifying the inserts and holders? We do a lot of face and small id work.

We are being pushed to get a job done, and I have a job on one lathe and want to set-up a differant lathe with the same program from mastercam. I have heard that this is very easy but have never done it. machines have differant post.

After finishing a toolpath it sometimes and only sometimes wont let you change a tool rad. without a collision. I do this a lot because we use a lot of custom ground c2.

I think I sent it to you. I did reproduced it and in the parameters I had the tool comp. set on right when it should have been left, I clicked the green arrow and got kicked out.

Im using X lathe, and if make an error in a toolpath, Mastercam shuts down all the way instead of warning me or having a wreck. Is this normal or can I fix it?

Thanks everyone, I will logon at another time with more detailed info with the trouble I am having. Just was not sure if it was normal to update or patch wright off the bat, and the maintenance has expired.

The company I am working for has both 9 and X lathe, the guys have been working on 9 and I am the only one using X since they installed it. My question, is there any updates or patches I should know about? I have noticed some minor glitches, but dont know how to fix them.
