  1. MasterCAM is properly calculating the retract on the peck cycle. My new Hurco VM-1 runs the code just fine when I post it using the generic Fanuc post processor I modified myself. The problem I have discovered is just on my older Hurcos (12 year old BMC-30 and 6 year old VMX-64) when I use the post processor that came from Mastercam it is generating G-code that does not have the proper retract values. I think I need a newer post processor.
  2. When I create a peck drill operation I can't seem to get the machine to start the operation at the desired height. Typically I want to begin the peck operation 0.1" above z=0, but also to retract 2" at the end of the operation to go to the next one so it will clear my part. I cannot do both. Once I set the retract at 2" it wants to start pecking at that height. I have tried setting the clearance height and the retract height seperately and they have the same effect.
  3. I did toggle the hidden lines, these lines are not hidden they are lines that should not be on a 2-D view, they just make it hard to read. I will try the radial curve display and see how that works but the problem is not in the isometric view. Apparently V9 did this also but I never realized it because I worked only with 3-D models. Now I have to produce a 2-D view for Engineering to make a layout from and it is pretty discouraging to see the results. I can't believe this has never come up before?
  4. When I create a solid layout in X2 it gives me all of the wireframe line besides just the outline. Is there any way to turn this off? It makes the drawing almost illegible. I don't recall V9 doing this.
