  1. It's a bug and we already have a fix ready to go into the next update of X6.

One way to get around it for now is to have the users go into "Settings/NetHaspLicensing" and manually release the Solids license before shutting down. Not pretty, but it should help until you get the update.

When I saw this get logged here in mid-March (as bug #107102), I was really surprised that it hadn't popped up before.

this bug has been around since the original release of X5 why do we have to wait for a second MU release of X6 to take care of the problem

  2. Why do we always need a work around for Master Cam. You would think that what is being paid for Yearly Maintainence that we would get a version that works at least 99.999999% All these workarounds do is slow your production down.

  3. Thanks all Bro's.

Yes it is STI tap for helicoil. We have tap gauge for helicoil.

I use spring load holder. The hole is through. For 2-56 STI tap the tap drill

is .100" for rolling tap for the cutting tap is .0938" I thing the tap i have is not for

class 3b it is BH2 My boss will get the BH1 class Tomorrow.

    Thanks for all replied.

the tap drill for a 2-56 STI form tap is .1015. we run that all day long with no problems. make sure the thread gauge is for the correct class thread you are trying to produce. for a thread that small the difference in tolerance dimension is very minimal. my 2 cents

  4. Hopefully I can get our stubborn machinist to try this, but I doubt it :p

So the high helix should actually be better for aluminum? And the coating isn't so good for running lighter loads like we usually do?

if your stubborn machinist does not want to try that, give him a kick upside the head and send him back to apprenticeship school.

  5. had this same problem when i upgraded to X4. the problem was the tools were still attached to the X3 tools directory. make sure all your tools are coming from the designated X5 directory. just a thought

  6. I need some help from the lathe guys. i searched the forum but could not find anything pertaining to my situation. i cannot get my custom tool to cut correctly. file is uploaded on the ftp in X4 files directory called CUSTOM TOOL PROBLEM

using MCX4 MU3. thanks in advance for any help.
