I want to use a c axis toolpath, I want to avoid using G112 or G113 polar interpolaion. I would like for mastercam to calculate the x and c moves without using the G112,G113.. Just don't know how to get started I'm assuming I should use the mastercam lathe but don know what plane or toolpath to select.
I am having trouble engraving letters on the face of a part using the lathe and the c axis I have engraved on the mill on surfaces, and cylinders but I am new to using lathe mastercam. Machine is a 2009 GTV-27 cubic with a 8055itc control. I would appreciate the help. Thanks
I figured it out I had to use sweep 3d instead of 2d. One more question the code is really long because its doing point by point how can it produce shorter code using radius moves like when it does an outside diameter.
I am having trouble making a chamfer with a ball endmill on an inside diameter. I can do it on an outside diameter or profile but not on an insdie diameter. Any suggestions? Thanks
I am running mastercam x

Thanks for the info. I have Adobe illustrator, is there any type of editing you have to do to the picture or is there a book I can by or where can I get the instructions to do it. Thanks

How can I engrave a picture on the mill, what type of format do I have to have? I am currently using mastercam x2 and using a Mori Seiki Duracenter. I would greatly appreciate the help. Thanks
Frank
