  1. Thanks for the information, the tools will just need to be reselected then and feeds recalculated. Thanks again Ditchpanther
  2. Thank you for the information, I tried this approach with scaling the model and not scaling the model. In both instances, the tooling paths we very large. I attempted to regenerate the paths and failed. I basically need the NCI and NC files to output metric instead of inch. Thanks Ditch
  3. Good morning all, I was hoping someone could shed some light on a question I have. I have a program completely don in English units. This means model, tool paths, etc. I was wondering if there was a way to convert the entire program to Metric units. This means tool path values, model, etc. Thanks for any help Ditch
  4. Thanks again gentlemen. I will calculate the motion/position angle and check it out. Thanks Ditch
  5. I am running a Mori NZ. When the NC is derived by the post, only x,y, and z are shown. I am doing a simple morphing using 5-axis. I was wondering what the U,V, and W are based on the XYZ that the post outputs. The information I have is from the V9 reference guide. The page that I have found the information on is the Mill G11 page with 12 variables. This information is to help me better understand the post processor because I will need to modify it in the future. Thanks again Ditch
  6. Thanks for the information. I just don't know how they are calculated. Are they the upper and lower point of the tool? Like the tip and the controler? Thanks Ditch
  7. Hi, I am trying to find out the definition of variables insidee the .nci file. Under 5 axis move, there are 12 variables. I understand what all are but the u, v, and w variables. I also need to know what their coorelation to x, y, and z are.If anyone could lend their expertise, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks ditch
  8. Millman, I really appreciate the help. I am currently using 4800 as my baud rate. I will have to probably contact Mori Seiki for the info on running the machine in "tape" mode. Then finding how to set up MaterCam aswell.
  9. I am currently having a problem downloading to the machine. I have the cable (I recieved the wiring diagram from Mori) and I am trying to figure out how to set up the I/O on the machine and Mastercam aswell. Once I do get the communications working, how do I drip feed? Thanks Ditch
  10. Hi, I am running a Mori Seiki Accumill 4000 and I want to use MasterCam as the controler. By this I mean I want to run the program straight from Mastercam. The memory on the Accumill is too small for the programs I would like to run and I was wondering if I can use MasterCam as a suedo memory for the machine. This would mean not downloading to the machine but finding and running the program straight from the computer. Is this possible? If so, how do I go about doing it. Thanks for any information Ditch
  11. Thank you gentlemen for the help. Upon reading that it is a post issue I created a comment marker for TCP and then issued a G43.4 output for that specific comment within the post. It works fine now. I appreciate the effort you would have given to my solution. Thanks again Ditch
  12. It has nothing within the misc. integer section that would indicate tool center point control. The topics are work shift, retract point, reference return, things of that nature. I was going to set it up to indicate tool center point control if there is not a height offset, but i cannot find the location within the post that designates tool offset (G43). Thanks for the suggestion though. But I believe it is not within the misc integ. section. Thanks for the welcome. I searched for G43.4 within the forum but was unable to locate a solution to my problem. Ditch
  13. Hello gentlemen, I am slighly confused here. I cannot figure out what I need to do to create a G43.4 output within my code. I am working with a Mori Seiki NMV5000 post. Is there a specific place or text I must add in the post, or do I need to do something different within mastercam itself. Any help will be greatly appreciated Ditch
