we use these jaws and they have serated vertions
we have also made our own by using a 1" tap and side milling with it and then rotating the part and milling again ...hth

MPSUBREP.PST we use this all the time make your first part prove it out then adjust the misc intergers for the other work offsets

???????you said you wanted a knee mill but you talking machining centers ????Looking for a cnc knee mill -
sure there good for basic drilling .
they come with a spanner wrench if you want to tighten them up some more
but ive never had a slipping issue with them )

the door interlocks on newer Haas machines is driven by there CE approval

What you need to get is the high speed look ahead option on that haas and you should have no problums with the new high feed toolpathes we use them here all the time on our haas machines .

also you dont have to go into recovery mode to get it to slide back go to zero return and hit zero single axis and it will slide back

sounds like you need to flush out the controller
this is a very old controller and every once in a while we do this when we are having issues
turn off in back wait 20 seconds then hit
MANUAL |AUX|1612 START
this will flush out the junk you will have to reset your feed rate after this
vo1 200. (this is the max for xand y)
Vo2 150. (z)
aux1440
End
then run that
this will set you max feed rates again

we have Haas machines here and the only one that uses grease is the tool room mill all the others use Vactra #2

some times i have better luck..i mean skill using an endmill verses an insert just better geometry on the bottom and we have been using peel milltool pathes to machine down ss with great flatness results ..just a thought

I belive what rizzo said (leave more material on for the finish pass and climb mill)
it could be your ruffing passes burr is bigger then the material you left on for finishing

around 10 Haas machines(save your hatin they make us money$$$) here the bigest is a 40x 20 but ..... 4 mill seats and 1 lathe seat of mastercam

i have a post for that controller but it's a two axis post it outputs dwells at z moves is your's 3 axis?? if you have you reseller email me ill get it too them

Dave with the mpsubrep pst it DOES each operation for each of the multi parts then moves on to the next op it does NOT do 1 complete part and then another .

i relize this is about using transform to get multiple parts but we use the MPSUBREP pst.
We programe and machine the 1st pc make any adjustments to the master cam file then repost with this pst and you get multi pcs in a subrep easy to edit not alot of code and you get efficent code ...i think not alot of users know of this post but it works great ...hth
