  1. We work in all types of materials such as Aluminum, Stainless, Steels, Composites, etc. REQUIREMENTS: Must be Proficient in most of the following: 1. MasterCAM 2 and 3-axis surface milling (an absolute must) 2. CNC Operation, Setup and Maintenance 3. Haas and/or Fanuc Control 4. Milling 5. Turning 6. Manual machines 7. Welding skills and other CAD experience a plus* (but not required) 8. EDM a plus ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Candidates must have standard computer skills such as email, word, etc. This is a full time position with flexible hours, competitive benefits and salary. Located in Denville, NJ. Please send resumes to: [email protected] Job location is Denville, NJ Salary: $25/hr to $35/hr plus benifits (but subject to level of experience)
  2. Thanks but as I mentioned initially the icons are active and have no affect. In addition, My standard home position is usually close to the part-so travel is quick. Colors are set correctly-as it works if I check a backplot from a newly created file but the older files will not backplot correctly. Again, the only thing I see is tool path rapid and feed lines (which I usually set on) highlight so I kinda know where I am. The other reason I suggested it was a bug is because the timeline slider always stops at the 1/3rd way point and freezes. I have to hit play regardless of path or operation I do.
  3. Would anyone know why I can't see my tools or inserts in a backplot? The icons are active but it will only show the feed/retract path lines? I have to go into verify to see the tools or hit regen. This is a problem which I saw come up in MR1 of X2 but never on X. However, I just installed MR2 of X2 and its doing it with older files. Is this a bug?
  4. Guys, This is not a contract position! Yes we do pay over $50/hr for contract programmers here in NJ (actually typical is $75-95$/hr. depending on complexity) I know because I’ve done it. However, I understand what that encompasses-which is non-steady work, no benefits, driving all over the tri-state area in traffic, and worst off customers who won’t pay invoices for 60 days. Thanks but No Thanks. From what job recruiters have told us it’s a fair rate. Additionally, this is not a dirty production shop with piles of works, outdated equipment, and angry bosses. We also, have good benefits (vacations, personal days, sick days, 401K, etc.). I know many shops in the local area that don’t even come close to this. Would we be willing to pay more than $30/hr? The answer is yes but that individual has to bring some value-add to the facility. Most of us here are highly skilled CAD/CAM/CNC users so we’d expect to learn off of them and not the other way around if they command the higher salary. -EJ
  5. Didn't work out and we couldn't get him to learn Mastercam well enough-even with training classes. I just didn't think it's that hard-but I'm bias since I've used 4-5 different CAM packages over the last 15 years.
  6. I've purchased 440C tubing but not that large. It maybe available. Did you try FRY STEEL in CA?
  7. It depends upon experience. But the range is $22-$30/Hr.

  10. (Yes, I'm new here) Is there a good spot on this forum to post a job opening in my shop? I get to many resumes of non-mastercam users (or no CAM for that matter) that I'm running out of places to find qualified people-who can read my job description? Figured this is the perfect place to find a mastercam machinist. -Thanks -Ed
