  1. Thanks ajmer! That did the trick, the letters come off the machine correct now. Again thanks for your help!
  2. Changing the wrapping direction in the axis sub dialog box did not make the letters upright. I have tried another post (generic post from the Artsoft Mach3 site) and the letters do come off the machine properly with this post but then there are other issues with tool offsets etc. with this generic post, this is how I have narrowed it down to a setting within the post. I have been flipping the geometry to make this machine work (turns a small job into a time consuming job)
  3. Both I have narrowed it down to a setting in the post, it is missing something for axis sub, but I am not sure what.
  4. Yes if I mirror the geo in mastercam with axis sub the NC output then will be correct
  5. When posting a letter engraving tool path with axis substitution the NC output is upside down. If the tool path is posted without axis substitution (letters flat) the NC output is proper. I have tried various settings with cw & ccw rotation etc but no change to the NC output, I think it is a setting within the post but do not know which one. Does anyone have any suggestions? (I am using X3 and {Mach3 for control})
  6. I tried axis sub some time ago and had no success, then I was told to use rolldie which works great with logos but poor results with letters. I may have missed some steps with axis sub method, have you engraved letters this way if so can shed some light on this method for me. B
  7. I am trying to engrave letters and numbers onto target rifle barrels using X3 (rotary axis) and the rolldie c-hook, but letters and numbers end up distorted and look like they have been stretched. The height of the letters and numbers is between .090" & .200"Is there a way make the fonts look normal? Is there a certain font to be used for engraving around a tube? B
  8. Yep it is BC I am looking for V8 post (Microkinetics). I have V9 and X2 post (Microkinetics) but they do not work at all with V8
  9. Are the V8 Educational posts for Microkinetics MillMaster Pro and TurnMaster Pro still available?
