  1. No problem John, I really appreciate everyones help. Everytime micro$oft releases something new, you are almost guaranteed something else will cease to work.
  2. Goodmoring, Hi Bigjohn, we did an incremental upgrade v9 + all SPs, and X, then X2. It was a long morning. Bradst, thanks for the heads up. We do have a seat of PDMworks for our CAD jockey ... maybe I should do a little experimenting with it and see if I can cause the same problem. Thanks for all your help. Stig.
  3. Thanks Todd and Mike, We aren't running mastercam from an application server, only MC files them selves are stored on a samba share (Samba running as a primary domain controller ...) We are implementing Subversion later this month which will use the server as a repository only, while keep version controlled copies on the client side. Thanks Mike. I gave those two options a try, but still the same issue. Its very perplexing, but with subversion installed, Todds suggestion of running the files locally may solve most of the issues. Thanks for the input. Stig.
  4. Goodmorning, Sorry for posting questions about such an old version of mastercam. Mastercam V9.1MR0105, fresh install. Windows XP SP3, fresh install, latest updates Whenever I attempt to load a .MC9 file from our server, Mill9.exe (actually Lathe9.exe will aswell) will crash. If I copy the .MC9 file locally, it loads without a problem ... most of the time. Occasionally it will crash when loading from a locally sourced file. Occasionally, when creating a new file and saving the new file, it will crash when I attempt to do something as benign as selecting a tool. IF I open the file in X2, resave it as a .MC9 file, I can then open the file in MC9, and do whatever I want with it, without Mill9.exe going south on me. I can open ANY of my files using X2 without issue. Do you suppose there has been a mass corruption of all the MC9 files? Ever heard of that happening before? Any thoughts? Thanks for your time. Stig.
