    1. After I have session open for an hour or two, my curser starts staying set at whatever the last command was. ex. zoom, pan. I have to restart mastercam to fix it for another hour or two.

So the only fix for this problem is to shut Mastercam down and restart it.  What a PITA.

I am having this same issue.  How can I fix it.

  3. There are these new columns in tool manager for assembly and tool holder name. Where do I need to save the defaults so I only see tools? There is check box in tooling manager to only show tools, assemblies or both but I cant find where to change this default setting.

Is there a solution for this?

  4. None that I know of. Sorry! Wish I could be of better help!

I was afraid that was the answer.

I am cutting a die cavity and would like to start on the bottom and cut up. Is there a setting that would allow me to do that with Surface High Speed Hybrid toolpath. We have X6 MU2.

That would be a good thing to change with X7.

  5. How do I keep the Ribbon Bar from moving around. Each time I select Trim, create circle, create line, etc. the ribbon bar moves further down the screen. I do not want to waste space on the tool bar by locking the ribbon bar there. We are running X6 MU2,on Win 7.

  8. I did a little Google search on this subject because I know I have ran into this when helping someone out on the tech support desk, however I couldn't remember the solution to the problem. It appears it maybe related to your language settings. If you go to Start, Control Panel, Region and Language and then Keyboard and Languages. Then click on Change Keyboards and ensure there is only one default language setup there being English US. If you have a second or 3rd select the other language and choose remove. Give this a try and let us know if this works for you.

I know living in the great white north for some reason when we install Windows we get 3 yes thats correct 3 different languages (US English, Canadian English and Canadian French) and from time to time the keyboard will switch from one to the other and then back again. So I usually just remove the Canadian English and Canadian French and then we are good to go.

Just have 1 language chosen. Every reason I have seen so far has been blamed on Windows. But not how Mastercam uses Windows.

  9. The shop where I work just updated to windows 7. We were running X6MU2 with Windows 2000 and there was no problems. It looks like it doesn't think the minus sign is a charature. When a level is named ( for example ab-cd-ef ) double clicking only highlights ef . Has anyone figured out how to fix this, it hasn't caused a crash yet but it's only a matter of time before it does.
