My problems still remains, it is quite annoying to restart Mcam when you waqnt to move entity to another layer or transform. Does anybody have same problem?

version X4 (13.0.3.31) build date may 21,2009 (downloaded from web) licence: mill lvl 3, solids now i have another problem: i want to copy 8 solids to another layer. so i make window selection of them, but it select and copy only 2 of them. I restart Mastercam and everything is ok (selection and copy without any problem)

I try to turn on all levels. I try to restart Mastercam an it works again. So sometime it work sometime dont. I dont know, where is the problem....

Hi, x-form operations doesn't work in my X4. When i try to translate, rotate wireframe geometry nothing happend. When i select translate, it shows 1st point ("from") 2nd point ("to"), but dont show geometry at final position and don not translate it. Same problem with rotation. Show "from" "to", show dashed cicrle between points, but with no result. thanks for help

Hi, i have problem with roughing pocket with finish passes. When i don't select "spiral inside to outside", finish passes are in order a-b-c (a is nearest to machined surface). If i select "spiral inside to outside", finish passes are in order 1-2-3. (3rd is nearest to machined surface) How can i make spiral outside to inside, but with finish passes in order 1-2-3. (3rd pass make fine finish on machined surface)? Using X4 mill level 3

Hi, when i import solid model from step file (step from Catia V step AP203), MC X3 show error message: "Parasolid kernel interface error: KI error code: 1043 - tolerance is less than parasolid tolerance" Is it bad cofiguration on my side or bad file? Thanks for help.

Hi, i have to cut pocket (green surface) from full material, but there is possibility to cut off material by EDM wirecut (grey surface). I want to safe time and dont want to cut off material inside grey cone. Is it possible to trim toolpath to 3D surface (grey cone)? I cant select surface as a check, because it has negative angle (if i do that, the bottom of a pocket will not be machined). Is there any other option how to do that? Thanks for advice, Smrkoul

I have problem when machinig 2D contour. If i select cutter compensation computer, toolpath is OK. If i select cutter compensation control, tool will cut into material (lead in radius is missing, lead out radius is on wrong side-cut to the material). I tried to change lead in/out line lenght, radius lenght, entry/exit point, but nothing happend. Can you help me please?

Hi, there is an option in Toolpath manager - properties - tool setting - "adjust feed on arc" When i wrote there any number, my post generate feed on arc move to value that i filled in that column to all tools and operations. But different tools have different feed. I think, that value represent percentage reduce/increase of tool feed (feed on arc=value*tool feed) Am I wrong or is it bad post? Thanks

Hi, I have one little question. Is there any way to modify tool list generated in X+ for MC X3. I want to delete some unnecessary columns (like tool name, manufacturer...) At X+ homepage is screenshot with no one of these. Thanks

thanx, i found it. But it is quite slow to edit all radius in toolpath point by point. Is there any faster way? global setting?... And if i am machining pocket with R4 in a corner and have tool diameter 8, than toolpath has sharp corners. So is it possilbe to reduce feed before tool approach corner but straight lines go with full feed?

Hi, can X3 reduce feed when tool is approaching to corner (in pocket toolpath, 2D contour etc.) I cant find this option anywhere. Please help, thanks.

I try to create simple pocket (cube with cubic pocket - one solid), select that pocket as a drive geometry, but still doesn't work. Then i try to create boundaries.... no effect....
