If you go to the mastercam help and search for Peel Mill. It will bring up a description of peel mill and how to chain it. Hopefully this will help you understand how to use it properly.

Try going to your operations manager/ under machine group properties/ files. At the bottom you have options to output operations or comments to NC.
-
What is the problem your having?
-
Did all of the bugs get fixed in X2 when they did 2 Maint. releases?
Im pretty sure not. More downloads= more chaos = waste of time

Are you on a network? If so you may have to log in as administrator to get the system to read the disk.

Check to see if your multi threading option is on in your settings/ config/toolpaths. I've found if its left on and not in use it slows the system down considerably and crashes verify occasionally.
-
Are you using the new multi threading option? If not be sure it is disabled in your settings/ config/toolpaths. its defaulted to ON. I've found that it slows/ crashes verify when its left on.

Try getting the file as an IGES. I've had the same problem when trying to open dxf from Pro-E.

Mu1 will be available to your employer depending on when they let there maintenance go.

At my last job i went to x3 but becuase of some bugs decided to stay with x2 mr2 sp1.
It sounds like your taking 1 step forward and 2 steps back...
If you can down load the Mu1 patch for X3 it works well and theres not all that much of a learning curve.

R.EX Did you try to toggle your accelerator settings?
-
Check your Graphics accelerator Settings, Config, Screen
A lot of your computers need to to have it disabled/enabled to fix this problem.
Many of you say its Mastercams Problem but did anyone of you stop and think uh maybe its a graphics card problem because my computer is 5 years old...

You have to make sure only the operations you want to go to your setup sheet are selected. Doing a right click is going to pick up all selected ops. Left click it first then you should have only that group.

Select "Keep tool down" on your depth cuts

My apologies. In early stages of HLE CNC had mentioned that it would give you the ability to view G- Code. I looked in to it and it doesn't post after all, to bad.
-
I've looked in to your problem and all i could find is a retract setting in home/ Ref points under linking parameters. Have you tried to come in with a 2D Rest mill operation? Your part doesn't appear to have any radiuses in Z , the 2D has the option to keep tool down to eliminate the retract between cuts.

Im running X3MU1 and X4 and it works fine for me on both.
-
DO you mean X2- MR2? If so you probably can't do a side by side. If you tried it with X3 Im sure you had Many Problems. The .DLL files are so similar that they try to overwrite each other even though its"separate" and create many issues

The X4 Demo Is free... With the purchase of Mastercam U or Streaming Teacher. I've yet to get an answer for the price of just the product. The HLE version can post, but it can not communicate with any machine, or save the post so it can be transfered to a machine via Thumb drive.
Jay Kramer:
The Previous Demos Were Very Limited. As you of all People should know considering you you train it. I hope Your Very Happy With HLE or are You still Training in X?

I had asked if SW and MC were on the same computer because I wasn't sure if you were referring to level manager in the status bar or solids level manager in the operations manager.

When Using Multi Threading there are 2 states the feature goes through; an Idle state where the hour glass is active. When the Hour Glass goes away and the + Courser is in view you can work. If you try to do anything when the hour glass is up it will freak out Mastercam. Also keep in mind you have to configure multi threading to the right amount of post processors your comp has. Mastercam defaults this feature to 2 processors. If you try to cheat and say you have 2 when you only have 1 it will make your work go even slower.

Dynamic Mill is a completely new algorithm and a major advancement for Mastercam. It can't be compared to the other 2D HST because it combines three different HST's. The more you tweak it the longer the code will be.
