  1. yes..... and again... shows up correctly at regen... just not stepping thru
  2. I noticed an unusual event today in back plotting a simple contour tool patch. I was comping onto a contour and stepping it down in the z axis ( 1 move only) and pulling comp off at the end, or final depth of the contour. Done this a Million Times.... switched for lead in and out are all set correctly.... but when I backplot it and step the path through the kidney shaped contour, for some unknown reason... the path on the final move approaching my end point in the geometry becomes a linear move in the backplot... and show similar in Verify..... However after the path runs to completion the view of the toolpath refreshes and looks as it should, and posts correctly without the linear move I saw in backplot step. Is this a bug?
  3. Maybe I am gapping here, but if I want to change a few surface colors on my surfaced wireframe..... say on an iges file that I brought in.... how do I change an individual surfaces color AJ
  4. OK... so I found the issue. We have the latest mac Book Pros just released before Christmas.....the new Billet Aluminum Case Versions. It seems that some of the hardware architecture with regards to the USB Port have changed slightly..... and as a result the Alladdin Device will not properly see recognise the HASP even though the Hardware is seen on the Parallels side. Solution... we went back to the older version still available in the 17" Mac Book Pro..... Load it all as I mentioned in my previous thread.... and it works as I had originally demonstrated. Perhaps Alladdin with rectify the problem with the new Mac Book Pros Hardware USB Handshaking in the future, but for now they do not support end users directly.... and MasterCam of course does not support Mac..... Having said that..... It is still not as good as using a PC. There are some memory issues which cause the Mac to be horribly slow at creating and regenerating cutter path. I love the Mac....I would have liked this to be a solution, but I am certainly not satisfied with the performance with regards to the video....Can not run in Open GL, and the issue I just made note of. Not spending anymore time on it.... We will continue to run it on a PC, and mess with these issues on the side as time allows. Thanks for everyone comments AJ
  5. Thanks for everyones help. I am not new to this forum.... just been away for 4 or 5 years..... just a new membership. I agree about the experience on this page.... that is why I came here. I am aware Mac is unsupported.... I need the Mac for other reasons, and I did a test run at the Genius Bar to be sure it would work before I bought it. Hence my frustration that I am doing exactly what I did then, and not seeing the same results now. I am very aware there are many users using MasterCam out there on a Mac. Let me say that I am a die hard user of PC's and the move to Mac was considered greatly before I went that way. I am happy we went this way, because I like change and am not afraid to try something new. I came here to get some insightful answers.... and i did get some. I am solely and end user, or have managed Staffing that were end users, and have been for sometime.... Have a great day guys! AJ
  6. Hmmmm... smiley faces having pints You got it... I missed that one Perhaps you missed the part about I had it tested before I bought....that was to eliminate the whole Murphy Factor. I guess I could have chosen your words..... but I chose mine... still like them.... please note the *++* which is my way of making 2 smiley faces having beers.... because I don't have enough time on my hands to try to mess around in this forum figuring that little trick out.....lol Thanks for the Welcome AJ
  7. To all those who tried to help... thanks To those of you who offered only rederick... thanks for nothing, and do your bosses know how much time you waste responding to threads that you have absolutely no business responding too! Perhaps it's tome to find a real job!
  8. I went to Yorkdale in TO and had the Apple Genius bar do a test run on X with a Hasp before I was to buy into Mac. We installed parallels...and XP2... then X .... It worked flawlessly... so I bought a MacBook Pro... Installed Parallels... then XP2....X .... then inserted Alladdin Hasp ... exactly like we did at the genius bar at Apple..... It will not see my Hasp.... called my service....installed new drivers....no luck..... Spent a day with my Mac guy locally.... even flipped to VMware.... same thing.... I can see the Hasp and it is recognised.... but for some reason.... I can not run my X3 as it will not see the HASP Any thoughts...... AJ
