  1. hello, Kennebec I tried your suggestion, but it didn't work. So I emailed mastercam technical support team and they replied me that my tolerence in CD was too low. After enhanced it, it works as what I want. Problem fixed, but it cost me more than two days strugging without any clue. I am wondering are there any Mastercam software team guys used to answer the question at this forum? Thank you, Kennebec
  2. Hi, Kennebec I tried every combination of the arc setting at the control definition, but it still not work. I believe it is the tolerence setting or somewhere else to make the post break the arcs automaticly. But I don't know where.
  3. I am using mastercam x4 version. when doing surface finish contour and surface finish blend (or some other 3D surface, not test yet). I did dis-tick the option :Present arcs as line segments at the Refine Toolpath. And my NC file do have some of the G2,G3,plus many G1. The only problem is, the post break some of the arcs to small segments, but not all of the arcs. And what I want is no breaking of my arcs. The reason I want my NCI as same as my NC is to control my NC file size and other benifits. Please help me if you can, many think.
  4. hello, eveyone one. I need help about post setting or tolerence setting. I created a small test file, the nci toolpath shows that my toolpath are many arcs plus some lines, but after the post, the nc file becomes many lines. I can see this from the G1 X..Y... Do we have a way to tell the post, to post according to the NCI toolpath? I mean don't break NCI arcs to small lines when posting nci toolpath. Many thanks!
  5. I just got email from my mastercam software vender and told me that it is really because of the solidworks2009 64-bit problem. So I have to wait for the patch to fix the problem. Mastercam x Direct is a great tool to help me save time to open and find the direction of the solidworks file. Can't lost it!!!
  6. ''When you built your new comptuer which got installed first SolidWorks or Mastercam?? If you installed SolidWorks first.. maybe...it didn't see Mastercam so Mastercam Direct was not installed.. If this is the case, try a repair install of SolidWorks now that you have Mastercam on the machine..'' I did what you suggested to repair solidworks2009, but it didn't work. Wondering if it is because solidwors2009 is 64-bit edition??
  7. ''In SolidWorks try Tools/Add-ins and make sure Mastercam Direct is checked'' The problem is that Solidworks2009 can't find Mastercam Direct in the Tool/Add-ins.
  8. I have installed mastercam x4 and also at the same time I have installed solidworks2009. Then I encountered one problem. The mastercamX4 Direct for solidworks2009 can't work. This means I can't export Mastercam file from solidworks2009 TOOL BAR menu directly, instead I have to open Mastercam software and then choose one solidworks file to open it. My solidworks2009 is the 64-bit version. But it worked very well when I used mastercamX3 and solidworks2008 (32-bit version). Could anyone suggest me any solution for this problem?
