Ok I got it. It seems the only way to get a program in is to have no extension. The only way i could save it without a extension was to save a program already in the Haas control to the floppy then I brought it to the computer overwrote the file with my new file and then loaded it into the Haas. There has to be another way?

Can't figure out how to save it without a extension on cimco but I remember doing it that way when I used surfcam at another place.

.nc dosent work . Neither is .txt for some reason. Not sure what im doing wrong...

Well we just got a new Haas mill here and I am trying to get a program to it through the disk drive. I can't remember what the program extension should be for a Haas. Should it be like O1.nc ? I tried it but that didnt work. Not sure what to save it as any help would be apreciated.
Thanks,
Scott

Ok what is this raster to vector thing and why is the info on mastercam help so vague about it? I assume when you open a file in Mastercam you have to open it differently? I can,t seem to find anything about this and it would be cool to play around with for my own personel stuff. Do you need the art package for mastercam to use this?

If its a closed contour make sure you dont have the enter/exit at midpoint checked in your lead in/out page. That has got me a few times when i tried to move my start points..

i was wondering if there was any way to post to run multiple parts with different work offsets with out going into the posted program and copy/pasting the gcode for multiple parts? Usually i am running 1-2 parts but on those times i do run more it would be nice to not have to edit the program everytime i need to change something. Thanks for any help in advance..

Do you have to have bought something from verisurf to use this or what? I downloaded it and tried useing some of the chooks but it asked for a access code.

How do you open the X+ setup sheet? Havent really messed around with the setup sheets yet because i setup and run all my programs myself and if i dont know what im doing after programming it im in big trouble. =)

Your shops smoking policy?

As a former smoker I don't miss the days when I could smoke in the shop. My old boss used to smoke like 3 packs a day and he always threw his butts in the chip barrels. Sometimes I swear there were more butts then chips. The barrels stunk so bad that when you emptied them it made you want to throw up...
