  1. Got my quote back from my vendor...Yikes!! Can't justify that much expenditure unless I get more of these or similar. Meenwhile I found that lost file of a similar job from way back. With my Router level 1 2D contour-depth cuts-tapered walls-finish with 2D champfer with a corner rounding mill with ground tip. Problem solved!! Any body got a better solution?
  2. Ruled is available. I shall give it a whirl. Yes I could file the rad, but it needs to be more precise than my filing skills can produce : - ) I guess it's time to get an upgrade quote for level 2.... I am going to be doing more of this type of operation this winter. I shall report on my tribulations later. Thanks a bunch Sir!
  3. is wireframe -> coons available in mill level one? that would work, even for the blend radii around the top. Nah. Coons is only available in level 2.
  4. Good morning all. Well, try as I may, I can't get a tool path to work on this thing..I looked up all the vid's I could on YouTube on the subject. ARGH!! What am I doing or not doing correctly??! This tool path won't accept splines. The whole part is made of splines...This should be an easy job.
  5. Hello guys, I mainly use MC in 2D. But I have this part to make with tapered walls and a radioused top. I have made something similar in the past but have since lost the file and can't remember how I did it. It was so long ago. I've been trying to toolpath this thing for a while now and have come to the conclusion that I really need some help...I was going to simply contour ramp down with a 1.25'' fly cutter. HELP PLEASE I have X5 router level 1 , Material is 304 S/S 4001.MCX-5 Thank's Claude
  6. I'm so happy it now works also. Wooohoo! The best thing about this problem, is that I came across some really good and savvy MC people. It was always enjoyable to speak with you Jay. I for sure will visit here from time to time. I enjoyed your informative video and will be looking for more of them. There is a cold one in the fridge if your ever up my way. Cheers Claude
  7. All the directories were wrong, more or less. Reinstalled a bunch of stuff from what I observed. Like greased lightning now!
  8. It works! My vendor was kind enough to fix the problem and now it's just like it was. Thank you all for your support. Specially Jay and Chris not to mention Kevin at Cap Technologies. Claude
  9. There's 4 versions of drivers on the Safenet page..any one in particular?
  10. Good morning guys, So, net frame work is there. The 3 files are where they should be. The instal came as a CD instal zip file from Jay who kindly sent it to me a while back and all was smoothly installed. I had tried the one from the web site and it behaved in the same way. yes I uninstalled that version from my PC before installing with a restart before installing the CD one. Todd mentions there is a newer version of the hasp driver. Should I try that? Thank's Claude
  11. Thanks Jay, I'll check it out when I get back to the shop PC in the AM.
  12. I have the service pack 1 and I thought it included the framework3.5. How can I check that I have it on my Win 7?
  13. Looks that way. Never gets far enough to say 'hasp not found' Try's to start for 6 seconds and nothing after that. Performance in the task manager goes up to 26% at it's peek in that 6 second laps of time. Then back down again. Hasp.exe V5.2 see's my serial no. and Solids, router and Art modules also sais Hasp found.
  14. Hello Jay, nice to see you here also. Yes, same thing. No start. Claude
  15. How about that? It has now found the hasp.....?? Still won't start....OOOOooooooooo!
