In my experience, if you contact the manufacturer of the indexer, they are more than willing to provide models.
Oh, and Welcome to the Forums!
-
We have used Crystallume endmills with good success on our trodes.
-
Cool idea!, Where are you located?
-
Thanks Colin.
-
nope, I see "Mill, Lathe, Router, Wire" I guess cuz its just an add on, its not in the list.
-
yep, I I have it installed, but I just have to set the machine type every time I open Mastercam. Just wanted to know if I could open millturn by default.
-
In my systems config. page, I want to change my start up product to Mill Turn, but that option isn't there? Any Ideas?
-
SKIR68, at the top of the simulator page there are three tabs - File, Home and Verify. The cut away option are in the Verify tab - it's not quite as functional as the previous scissors options at the moment but hopefully it'll do what you need.
Cannon, the pick chips option is also in the Verify page that I mentioned above. You can then go to the File page to save your stock as an STL.
Thanks Rich! I found what i needed in the 3/4 view tab!

Did we lose the "scissors" function to view a cutaway view as well???
-
nope...still turns white...SIGH...

Ok, after searching a littl on this forum, i have come up what may be a solution.right click on X7 icon, properties, Compatibility, check Disable desktop comosition.
seems to be working...for now.
-
Im just wondering if anyone else is having this issue with X7? I am running Windows 7 with MasterCam X7. Everytime I click on something else, my MasterCam window turns white.
If i click on it, it turns back to what i was working on. Perhaps it's a Windows issue??

I run a mill/turn, can i PLEASE have stock recognition in lathe when i mill it away???
-

I heard at a tool show yesterday that Okuma and MasterCam have worked together to create "certified" posts for thier Multus and other Okuma machine tools.
Does anyone have one of these posts? Im courious as to what "Certified" means? ( I heard it from an Okuma person)

6 inch chuck is pretty small...depends how big your parts usually are. Something with conversational programming would be great for R&D.

Hey VictorG, I'm Don, nice to meet you.

We have Johnford SL-50 lathe and it is actually quite rigid and accurate machine for the price. Only problem that I can think of is the way oil dripping to the coolant tank so it needs to be cleaned more often.
Thats not very fair comparison, Makino cost atleast twice as much as Johnford so of course you it will perform better.
CORRECT! You get what you pay for! If you want a machine for pre-heattreat +/- .01 Tollerences, then a Junkford would be a choice to consider. For holding .0002, i wouldn't even consider it!
-
we had 2 "Junkford's in our mold shop....they were used for roughing before heattreat. They were not capable of holding finishing tollerances (.0002 repeatedly) like our V-33 Makino's.
jm2c, ymmv!

Drill Master's, Gun Drill....
-
we use ThreadTech, it works....
-
I managed to put them on my ipad, but I had to copy the individual PDF's. They all work fine, and I saved them as one collection. Ok, so now I can put the Mastercam PDF's on there too
By the way, I used Ibooks as the reader. It works fine
Thanks for the update!

Tool changes are cool and fast until the air cylinder that operates the tool change door gets all gunked up with crud and doesn't open the door all the way..
