  1. Tool changes are cool and fast until the air cylinder that operates the tool change door gets all gunked up with crud and doesn't open the door all the way..
  2. In my experience, if you contact the manufacturer of the indexer, they are more than willing to provide models. Oh, and Welcome to the Forums!

  11. Im just wondering if anyone else is having this issue with X7? I am running Windows 7 with MasterCam X7. Everytime I click on something else, my MasterCam window turns white. If i click on it, it turns back to what i was working on. Perhaps it's a Windows issue??

  13. I heard at a tool show yesterday that Okuma and MasterCam have worked together to create "certified" posts for thier Multus and other Okuma machine tools. Does anyone have one of these posts? Im courious as to what "Certified" means? ( I heard it from an Okuma person)
  14. 6 inch chuck is pretty small...depends how big your parts usually are. Something with conversational programming would be great for R&D.
  15. Hey VictorG, I'm Don, nice to meet you.
  16. CORRECT! You get what you pay for! If you want a machine for pre-heattreat +/- .01 Tollerences, then a Junkford would be a choice to consider. For holding .0002, i wouldn't even consider it!
  17. we had 2 "Junkford's in our mold shop....they were used for roughing before heattreat. They were not capable of holding finishing tollerances (.0002 repeatedly) like our V-33 Makino's. jm2c, ymmv!
