  1. Well guess they @#$!% up the transform toolpath too didn't they. I'm sorry folks but MCX SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have been using MC since R4 and this is the worst upgrade I have ever seen. A total piece of @#$! CNC Software should be ashamed for pushing this crap off on their customers. JESUS CHRIST!
  2. Pre-selecting the items before deleting them would be more productive. Well that really isn't the issue is it? And preselecting has the same problem.
  3. The delete function in MCX will unselect an intity if you select the same intity twice. This is a pain if you have a lot of intities on top of each other. Can this be turned off? Otherwise I have to delete, hit the green and then start all over again. Very time consuming.
  4. How the **** can I change the Goddam selection box size. Hell even auto cad give you that option. You have to have a ****ing magnifying glass to just to see the dam thing. WTF where those people thinking?
  5. Can someone explain why MCX locks up the dam PC when I try to create curves on a surface? This was NEVER an issue with the old MC. Seems like everytime they come out with a new version they just **** everything up.
  6. First off I only have level 1 in the level manager which is odd because in previous versions of MC there were like 255 levels and never had to actually create one. Now when I try to create level 2 it's gone when I get out of level manager and then get back into it. The only way I was able to create the level was by typing 2 in number box and then clicking in the field under level one. Is this the correct way?
  7. I see this issue has come up a lot so is there a patch of some sort now to get rid of that dam thing?
  8. I sent the part I was having the problem with to our MC dealer and he had the same problem. He said he would inform CNC Software so I guess it's a new bug.
  9. I upgraded to MCX but still want to run MC9 for a while. MC9 is running off a parrellel port hasp and MCX is running off a USP hasp. I have to send the parrellel port hasp back to CNC Software but will MC9 run off the USB hasp for MCX?
  10. Video card: ATI fire GL 8800 PC: P4 2 ghz with 1gig of ram OS: win 2000 SP4
  11. When I try to create curves on trimmed nurb surfaces using the all edges option MCX freezes when I hit the green end selection button. Anyone know what my problem is? I don't get this problem with untrimmed surfaces. The cad model is not a solid it is made up as trimmed nurb surfaces.
  12. Can I still run MC 9 after I install X?
  13. Well I have a job for now but the company I've been with for 14 years may or may not relocate it's manufacturing to...well you know where. Anyway I've been a programmer operator for 9 years using Mastercam, always the latest version, and machined for the same company before I started programming. I'm just wanted to see how the NC programmer job market is like so I have an idea of what to expect if the bottom falls out. Haven't had to job hunt for 14 years.
  14. What's the job situation like for experienced Mastercam programmers/oparators?

    Big Files

That's not unusual for that big a file. I routinely program files about that size and they can be difficult to work with. I use only enough lines, splines and arcs that I need and that helps a lot. When doing rough tool paths you may want to set the total tolerence to about .01 other wise it will take for ever to gererate the tool path on such a large part.
