Hello ,
I am trying to install a msi in the MastercamX4 but its giving an error .
it says
cabinet file "some hexdec number" is corrupt and cannot be used.
This could indicate a network error,or an error with CD-ROM or error with this package.
Can anybody suggest something on this please ?
Ash.!

Hello ,
I had a question about drive and check surfaces.
As we have an option for using a CAD file to define drive surfaces.
Is there an option which will allow me to use a CAD file to specify check surfaces.
This sounds a bit unnecessary
but if it allows me this option,
it saves a lot of computation time
for me instead of using a CAD model for using drive surface.
Thanks
Ashi
I found the solution to this question.
You need to uncheck the
:enable multi threading option
which you will find in settting:configuration:
toolpaths
uncheck this option and you will be in good shape..!!
Hello everyone,

Hello ,
I am a graduate student at Iowa State University
and I totally new to Mastercam and this forum
In fact this is my first new post on this site.
I doing my research on custom machining of certain
aluminum parts for which I need some thing
like a polygonal tool containment boundary.
does anyone have any information if Master cam
allows a custom shaped tool containment boundary which can help only a specific areas of parts to be machined and leaving rest of it untouched.
I Would appreciate any kind of help offered
Thanks
Ash
