In the settings configuration is default machines. Pick the one you want.

Each material you set a standard SFM and chip load. Then each different tool is a percentage of that setting. I usually set the default for HSS. Say you have it set for 200 SFM and .005 chip for HSS. If you set carbide to 200% for both, you get 400SFM and a .010 chip. HTH

Also you hand dial will move the Full Forth. Won't on a indexer.
Every horizontal indexer I have worked on moves with the pulse handle.

It really depends on what heat treat condition it is. It can go from Granite to Kryptonite.

30 sfm is recommened for HSS
IIRC I was running 125sfm with Iscar inserts. Haven't cut it in a couple years though
What condition was it heat treated to?

Henry, I presume your files are on a network? I don't get the pictures when posting a network file. Locally it works fine.

Open the material manager. (toolpaths, material manager) Right click in the window, create-new.
