  1. Nope, I checked the stl comp in the verify parameters. Plus, the comp is in the computer. The stl file was taken from the finish part aswell....
  2. I just installed X6 and Im attempting to machine a solid model. Its just a simple contouring and pocketing program. Whats happening is when I verify the program it shows the tool removing too much material even though when I backplot it the tool is machining right to the profile. Ive checked everything, tool dia, x and y wall offset, the .stl file parameters, stock offset, etc. If I add .030" to the wall offset then the .stl file shows it to be perfect, but only when I add material, it should be perfect if I set the walls to 0. Any ideas? Ive attached the backplot screen to show the tool is machining to the profile, and also the verify .stl screen to show it shows that the part appears to be under size. thanks!
  3. For some reason when I did the x6 install I lost the undo function. It is shown on the ribbon bar but I am unable to click it. I have looked in the system config settings, but cant find it. Anyone know the trouble? Thanks
  4. Im wondering if mastercam has any machining strategies. We machine many of the same type of parts. For example, 2 different parts with two 8mm reamed holes and two 8mm tapped holes. In stead of programming the first block, then opening the second blocks geometry in the 1st blocks file then re-selecting the new geometry to suit the 2nd block, is there a way to click the, say, 8mm ream hole and have the centerdrill, ream drill, and reamer automatically program itself? It would save me so much time. Thanks
