  1. I am trying to find the geometry info for a 1 1/8 Diameter 10-spline gear. (male end) Can anyone help or direct me to a place where i can find the CAD geometry or the info needed to create it? Thanks. -James
  2. Re: ThePres, It's different than that pause you get when bringing up a large tool library, it is a good 20-30 seconds and I have a fast computer(1.5GHZ) with plenty of RAM and a 32 MB nVidia card. Thought I would re-post, maybe today someone may have some more ideas. I notice there are a few people who have had this problem. Thanks. -James
  3. Thanks Perfecseal, I tried your suggestion(a few times) to no avail. I still wait 20-30 seconds with the hourglass flashing in my crosshairs. Thanks anyway. -James
  4. Thanks for the responses guys, unfortunately Zero, I just returned from reading the 50 posts of bickering. Though entertaining, they were not at all helpful. I don't have '9.1' in the name of my directory, and I am running W2K. I am aware as a couple of the posts mentioned that I can put my tool list on my local computer, but I would like to keep our system the way it has always been. We have a few seats of MC and everyone has access to our most current libraries. Our Network is small and efficient, fille transfer/acces is not problem with any other applications. In addition, the server is backed up regularly with rotating tapes, so nothing is ever lost(Knock on forehead). It seems to be a 9.1 issue only. Hope someone figures it out and any suggestions are welcome. Thanks. -James
  5. I have a problem with V9.1 I can't resolve. In tool list when I go to get a tool it takes forever to get each tool. In Version 9.0SP1 (which i still use) I don't have a problem...it is instantaneous. My tool Libs are in a folder on the server, but as I said V9.0 and even V8 has no problem. Anyone else have this problem?! What am I overlooking?! I even erased Mill9.cfg and re-configed all file paths. Grrr. -James
  6. kathy, Thanks for your reply. We have a single table with a single spindle. If you wouldn't mind, I would really like to try your post. Have you ever used G52? We do a lot of plastic, so it's kind of nice for jumping around your program when part 65/100 decides to free itself from the vacuum. I'm in the South Bay-Santa Clara. The city is fun I was just up there this past weekend, it was freezing. It must have been a nice break from the heat over there. -James Also: Thanks Roger, I emailed Komo, they didn't respond. I think I'll give them a call.
  7. Sorry, I'm in the San Francisco Bay Area. I am talking to my dealer, he is very helpful and is looking into the question as well. I was just hoping if anyone already figured it out, it could save us both time and money. -James
  8. Hello, I am using MasterCAM ver. 9 to program a VR408 KOMO Router with the Fanuc OMC controller. Unfortunately, the post processor I have does not use G52 for multiple part programs. I would like to know if a customized post exist for this controller and router for MasterCAM, and where I might find it. Thank you for any help may be able to provide. -James
