Running Mastercam V7 or V8?

This was recently logged as a bug against V8.0. I would recommend that when moving operations in the OpMgr, you use the right mouse button to drag and drop - it even has a 'Cancel' option (instead of hitting 'Esc') on the menu that asks whether you'll "move or copy" & "before or after". We hope to should be able to correct this for V8.1.

Here are a couple graphics-speed related questions: ) Do you often use different line styles? These are historically slower, most notably with OpenGL drawing ON, than solid lines. 2)Do you use "TrueColor" graphics? This, too, is historically slower than "HighColor", or 65K colors. 3) Do you sometimes view parts at drastically different screen scales than that at which the geometry was first drawn? Screen/Next/Regen could help there. 4) Do you have lots of note and dimension text? When these get small and are drawn as rectangles, it's considerably faster than drawing the full text everytime. And even then, TrueType fonts tend to be a little slower than our fonts. Hope this helps... Mastercam Product Development Team

Put a check on your enthusiasm, Trevor - we're still testing it here and slowly getting it out into the real world for testing. Barring any unforeseen security holes, all indications are that it'll be available with V8.1.

This was a tough one to fix but we have corrected this for V8.1. It took us a while to reproduce the problem - it had to do with focus being on a directory while selecting files. If you inadvertantly dragged and dropped a directory onto itself, oops!!! [This message has been edited by ProductDevelopmentGuy (edited 10-16-2000).]

Is "Use construction attributes?" checked ON in the Xform dialog that appears? It sounds like it. Turning this on will cause the xform-ed result to have the current construction color, level, & style. Turning this off will cause the xform-ed result to have the same color, level, and style and the original

The stretch problem in Mastercam Plotting has been addressed in V8.1. We found that it has been wrong for quite a while. Sorry about that, but it was not brought to our attention until recently
