  1. Thanks That was easy. Bob Eichorn
  2. While using multiple levels with V9 I occasionally forget to switch levels. I try to keep my wire, solids and surfaces separated. Is there a way to move a single entity from one level to another? Thanks Bob Eichorn MRC/SW USN 6th Fleet
  3. I think I got something for you, but I am very new to MC9 as well. If you can tell me how to send an MC9 file, like the one you did, I will send it back to you and explain what I did. From what I see you have two flat surfaces at the base of the channel, both of which are not positioned on an axis. If you put one face on an axis, then set "Normal" to the other (Cplane, Normal, select the Z), you can cut the sides using contour, single and just use depth cuts to make it pretty. Then run your face mill down the middle to finish it off. Are you making alot of these or just one? It would be nice if you had a 5-axis with live tooling, but if not angling your setup will work too.
  4. The character was 027. Thanks Allan MRC/SW Robert Eichorn United States Navy
  5. Our shop is believe it or not on board a navel ship out in the Mediterranean Sea. We have two CNC Lathes and Three CNC Mills We recently upgraded from V7 to V9 MC in May and have been doing wonders for the sixth fleet ever since. Our problem is an old one. Posting to our NASA Mill with an old xxxxor 8020 control. We have worked most of the posting bugs but stuck on one. After every NC program, I have to copy and paste a Square to the end of the program in order for it to load from my Greco box to the machine. I have made several changes to the post, like changing the Null Characters (ASCII code) from 0, 00 or 000, but no luck. Any help would be appreciated.
