  1. Oh really? I did the same way for lettering though so thats what i tried with this. I will try that today Thanks!
  2. what ive tried so far is drawing the roll then figuring the Circumference and drawing it as a rectangle laid out then drew my lines how they were supposed to be. when i pick my tool paths i chose contour then used the window option. And when i got to axis control i select the axis rotation about the Y axis, CW, diamter 4.020, unroll. but when i click the check mark it gives me that alarm.
  3. I am fairly new to programming with master cam, but we have X4 Mill level 1 at work which works for what we do for the most part. We have a 4th axis for our Haas mills my boss asked me to set it up since ive ran them before and have an idea of how they work i just dont know much about programming them. Well ive been messing aroung trying to figure it out, it will let me do some simple stuff like lettering and milling simple contours but when i want to mill a bunch of lines all the way around the part it has an alarm that comes up saying something along the lines of "tool path exceeds memory" of some sort. basically the part he wants me to make on there is a drive roll for our punch press and has seration like knurling on it. i think theres just too much geometry for what we want to do? Is there something else we need for our toolpaths to work properly?
