  1. What OS is running on your bosses computer?

If its Win 7, you are out of luck. V9 won't run on Win 7

If you boss's computer is XP there are a couple of things to try

    first, double click

    C:\Mcam9\nhasp9.exe

and make sure its set to HASP, Local

if that doesn't help, uninstall V9

shut off the anti virus software and reinstall

Many AV softwares kill the V9 hasp drivers during install and don't even ask you

about it before they do it.

Sorry about missing info. XP Pro sp3

    Ok will try that.

    thx gcode

  2. I started programing Mold components as they sit in a design position.

So I used the Bottom WCS to program the cavity and when using verify Turbo mode

it cuts it all messed up and missing areas, etc.

If I don't use turbo It works as it should.

The problem is it take 3 hrs to verify that Mold Cavity in a quality that I can use to check it.

Is there something wrong with verify turbo when uses Different WCS's to program with?

Is there a setting I am missing to get it to workin like normal?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers

    Rick

    Rick,

You need to set up stock size thru Toolpath manager properties. HTH

  3. I created a surface hi speed rough toolpath. Selected my tool and set all my parameters. Right clicked toolpath, dragged and copied after previous toolpath.

Now i edited the copied toolpath, changed to a finish op and selected another tool from manager. Here lies the problem, the tool did not input speeds and feeds of the selected tool.

    It kept previous tool settings.

    This works fine in X4.

Is there a setting I'm missing?

I'm finding it only happens when u copy toolpaths. When creating new toolpaths, this does not happen.

  4. Open the Mastercam Applet in the Control Panel

Choose "Mastercam X5" from the dropdown menu

Click on the + sign, then "User Interface"

Check out the setting "File Dialog Style"

If you clcik the line next to it, a 2 choice dropdown will pop up

Set it for "Mastrcam X Style"

    then Blue Cross/Green Check out..

    That should fix the problem

    Already set to that.

I did find that file types is defaulted to "All Mastercam X Files (*.MCX*)"

If I change it to "All Mastercam X Files (*.MCX-5, *.MCX, *.MC9, *.MC8)" it works. Is there a way to make this the default?

  5. Anyone run into this?

In X4 I could click on file-open icon and dialog box would open and then click on arrow for drop down box to see last 10 files I worked on.

This is not working for me in X5. The recent folders works fine. TIA
